Urban Decay Hearts NYC palette(Book of Shadows Volume 3): Review+Swatches

I am pretty sure this palette is now unavailable pretty much everywhere but ebay, but I sill have a few requests outstanding from friends to review it, so here goes.

As usual with Urban Decay, the quality of these eyeshadows is outstanding, the only downfall being with some of them the big chunks of glitter can lead to harsh fallout, but this can easily be fixed with a good primer as a base.
The packaging alone on this palette is absolutely AMAZING with a pop up display and a slide out drawer containing the actual eyeshadows
I really have no complaints about the quality of this palette, the only reason I don't wear it more often is because of the lush, bright colours used that often scare me away. But when I do reach for this extravagant palette, I am always impressed with the finish I get from these shadows.
Left to right, Top to bottom: Perversion, Uzi, Loaded, Kush, Midnight cowboy rides again, Last Call, Rockstar, Money, Haight, Maui Wowie, Smog, Bordello, Radium, Snatch, Suspect and Psychedelic Sister. This palette also comes with two 24/7 Glide on eye pencils in the shades Zero, and Ransom as well as a mini size of their famous Eyeshadow Primer potion.
Left to right: 24/7 glide on eye pencils in Ransom and Zero, Perversion, Uzi, Loaded, Kush, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, Last Call, Rockstar, Money, Haight, Maui Wowie, Smog, Bordello.

I am not really sure where else you could get this limited edition palette now aside from ebay

Fragrance Review: Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy

I thought since I am finally just over halfway through my HUGE bottle of this perfume that it would be time to review it.

Considering this perfume has a ginormous following, I wasn't necessarily that impressed with it, don't get me wrong, I like it, it just wasn't quite as good as I was expecting it to be taking into account the numerous raves I had heard about this from friends, youtubers, and bloggers alike.

With notes of wild berries, juicy mandarin, honeysuckle, gardenia, jasmine, amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and praline, this is a sweet floral perfume that develops over the course of the day into a more sweet, sugary caramel smell. This particular fragrance is extremely feminine and girly, and in my opinion, is best worn as a casual everyday fragrance.

Considering Juicy Couture isn't exactly the cheapest available brand, the wear of this perfume isn't as good as I would expect. This is one of those perfumes that smells absolutely amazing when you first spray it but the delicious floral juicy smell disappears within an hour and leaves a sickly sweet caramel scent which I personally, don't really care for.

I do love the smell you get when you first spray this, and that is the reason why I bought this fragrance but considering the price,  and the wear of this perfume I wouldn't repurchase this perfume in the near future as I don't really care for the sugary caramely aftertaste this perfume acquires after around an hour of wear.

Viva La Juicy is available at Juicy Couture counters and stores worldwide.

N.O.T.D: Revlon Sunshine Sparkle

I don't know about you but I have had my eye on Sally Hansen's Yellow Kitty for yonks now and have come super duper close to buying it a number of times. But when I finally tried it out at the store I found the formula was streaky and somehow chalky so I decided not to invest.

A friend actually bought this polish for me because she knew I had been looking for a creamy yellow colour similar to yellow kitty ever since. I have to say this is the closest thing I have found so far, and it may even be better that its chalky sister.

The formula of this polish is creamy and milky, but made slightly grainy by the slight hint of golden/yellow shimmer.

The one downside to this polish however, is how hard it is to get off! This is one of those polishes that lasts ages on your nails, but is close to impossible to get off at the end of the week.

This colour is surprisingly flattering considering it is yellow, usually the colour that causes me to look so washed out I look like a zombie on drugs.
I wore this shade a couple of days ago for House Swimming Sports, the colour of my House, Jellicoe, being yellow,  and it held up relatively well in the chlorinated, easy to chip environment that is the pool.

Being a lower end polish, I think that this is a great alternative to more expensive colours such as Butter London Cheeky Chops, as it does pretty much the same job for around half the price.

Revlon Nail Polishes are available at Revlon counters worldwide

NARS Super Orgasm Lipgloss review + swatches

Aside from the racy names the creators at NARS seem to have up their sleeves, I have never really had a bad experience with NARS products. I thought this might be a good time to review one of my all time favourite lip glosses, Super Orgasm. Super Orgasm was a limited edition, sparklier and more pink version of the ever popular orgasm range from NARS, and became so popular that it was put into the permanent range.
Described perfectly as a peachy pink with gold glitter, this warm toned pink gloss is surprisingly smooth and hardly gritty considering the size of the chunks of glitter found in it.
This lip gloss could be more pigmented, but I love the fact that I can easily put it on without a mirror and not have to worry about having lipgloss all over my face. This makes this lipgloss perfect for a busy day in town, or even a busy day at the office, a the subtle colours and hint of sparkle makes this lipgloss the perfect subtle way of enhancing your natural lips without going all out with a bright red or pink.

Considering the fact that this product is a little more on the pricey side of the rainbow, 0.28oz of product is actually quite a lot for a higher-end brand, taking into account the fact that the Mac dazzle glasses contain only 0.06oz of product.

NARS lip glosses can be purchased at NARS counters and free standing stores worldvide

Urban Decay Naked Palette Review + Swatches

The world renowned Urban Decay Naked Palette, so popular that a second one has even been made, which admittedly I have my eye on as well, but for now lets just stick to the original eh.

This particular palette comes with a double sided 24/7 Glide on eye pencil, and a travel sized eyeshadow primer potion.

This is one of my favourite eye shadow palettes. If you prefer wearing a neutral eye over a bright colour like me then this palette is perfect for you, and I can't think of a skin-tone these colours wouldn't flatter.

The packaging is covered in a chocolate brown Velvet-like fabric with the words NAKED embossed in gold on the front. The velvet obviously feels very nice but it gets VERY DIRTY. Not so good for people with OCD problems like myself.
Top to Bottom: Darkhorse, Half baked, Buck, Sidecar, Naked, Sin, Virgin.
Top to Bottom: Gunmetal, Creep, Hustle, Toasted, Darkhorse, Smog, Half Baked.
Top to Bottom: Zero, Whiskey (both 24/7 Glide on eyeliner pencils) Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal.

Virgin: is a pale and shimmery-nudey-beigey champagne colour. This shadow is very light, but looks great on paler people such as myself.

Sin: Is a darker more pink toned champagne, with a little more frost.

Naked: Is a completely matte medium-beige brown. This shadow is comparable to Mac Wedge.

Sidecar: is a medium-bronze with an almost taupey red- brown undertone.

Buck: Is really a darker version of Naked. That being a matte darker beigey-brown.

Half Baked: Is a shimmery coppery-brown colour with a gold undertone and a frosty finish.

Smog: A meduim-dark bronze with a hint of goldy-bronze sheen.

Darkhorse: A rich chocolate brown with a hint of bonze shimmer.

Toasted: A pink toned brown with a shimmery-sheeny finish.

Hustle: A dark chocolate brown with a purple undertone. This shadow has a soft shimmer finish .

Creep: Is a dark blue/grey with flecks of silver and teal.

Gunmetal: Is a dark blue-grey colour with silver, and blue duo-chrome.

Top to Bottom: Half Baked, Buck, Sidecar, Naked, Sin, Virgin, 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in Zero, and in Whiskey.
Top to bottom: Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal

The formula of these shadows, like all Urban Decay shadows is creamy and highly pigmented. Perfect for everyday wear, and with a primer, will last all day on the eye.

The Urban Decay Naked Palette is available at Urban Dacay stores and stockists worldwide

What I do with my spare time XD

Yes. I am a freak! And i am proud of it!!! This is just me playing with one of my new brushes.
The colours actually come off really weirdly on camera, this look was very dark in person.
To achieve this look I used the original Urban Decay Naked Palette in the colours Buck, Darkhorse, and Creep.
